Safari summary.
Starting in Nairobi and ending at Nairobi, this is a comprehensive safari that visits four extremely diverse wilderness areas. From the lakes of the Great Rift Valley and open plains of the Mara to the undulating hills of Tsavo. This weekly scheduled small group trip is guaranteed to depart for a minimum of 2 clients

Day 1: Pick up from JKIA
Upon arrival into Nairobi, clients will be met and transferred to the Eka hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the Eka hotel in a superior room on a bed and breakfast basis. (Check in time 14:00). Depending on time of arrival clients may choose to add an optional excursion.

The hotel offers tastefully decorated rooms, two restaurants, bar, conference facilities, swimming pool and a host of other facilities.
Day 2: Nairobi- Masai Mara
Leaving Nairobi after breakfast, you travel towards Kenya’s fertile highlands and head down the rift escarpment on the road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. On the way spot the charming chapel built at the foot of the escarpment. Pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the valley to Narok; continue your travels across acres of wheat and barley, before reaching the Masai Mara in time for lunch.
Following lunch set off on your first game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Keekorok Lodge on a full board basis. Drive time approx: 5 hours Keekorok Lodge lies at the southern end of Masai Mara National Reserve, approximately 280 kilometres from Nairobi.
It is sited in the direct path of the annual migration and was the first lodge to be built in the Mara. At the height of the migration, Keekorok is surrounded by a swarming mass of animals and there is hardly need to go on a game drive.
Keekorok’s charm lies in the liberal use of local building materials. Sand stone, cedar wood and other indigenous materials. This overlooks a dam where resident hippo and other game are regularly seen.
Day 3: Masai Mara full day
Following an early breakfast, depart on a morning game drive, returning to the camp mid morning. After lunch, and perhaps a siesta, set off on another game drive returning to the lodge as the sunsets.
Overnight at Keekorok Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 4: Mara to Naivasha
Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffes and gazelle as you head up the Mai -Mahiu, before arriving at Lake Naivasha around midday.
Following lunch and a siesta, depart on an afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha, with the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club on a full board basis. Drive time approx: 5.5 hours Lake Naivasha Country Club Lake Naivasha Country Club offers an abundance of activities to please all tastes.
The Hotel offers a combination of Food and Beverage outlets. Flavours, the main restaurant of the hotel, serves International Buffet-style meals. Relax and unwind at the Tavern Bar with local beers or international Spirits and Wines to tingle your taste buds. The Terrace is an all-day dining option with A la-Carte Menu and varied choices. Day 5: Naivasha to Amboseli
Following an early breakfast, leaving Naivasha behind, you continue towards Nairobi continuing south east towards Amboseli arriving for a late lunch. In the afternoon depart on an afternoon game drive returning as the sun sets. Drive time approx: 7 hours Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national park.
Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with uninterrupted views of the mountain itself. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. As the only sources of water in the park, attracts huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game.
Meanwhile, from the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is truly magnificent. At the centre of ‘Maasailand’, the lodge’s décor reflects the brilliant primary colours and iconic shapes representative of these legendary warriors. At the heart of the lodge, shaded by palm trees, is a free form swimming pool; to either side of which stretch the rooms.
Each room is housed in a single story building opening directly on to the grounds, each reflecting a Maasai manyatta theme, each with its own hand-painted wall frescos. The central dining area is reached by a timbered bridge over a melt-water stream, while the lounge and bar feature a broad terrace and a blazing fire-pit where evening cocktails can be enjoyed. Activities include daily game drives in custom-built traditional safari vehicles, ‘sundowners’ on Observation Hill, bush breakfasts, bush dinners, Maasai dance performances, visits to Maasai villages and tree-planting programmes.
Our luxury en-suite rooms are accommodated in two single-storey dedicated buildings, which lie to the right and left of the main reception and dining areas. Each tastefully appointed room features a Maasai inspired, hand-painted, wall fresco, king-sized bed or luxurious twins, lavish all-encompassing mosquito curtaining, bathroom (with walk-in shower), writing/vanity unit, and private veranda. Triple rooms can be made available.
Day 6: AmboseIi to Tsavo East
After your early breakfast, you will go on another morning game drive in Amboseli in order for you to catch the brilliant sites and scenes of the park, capture the breath taking view of Mount Kilimanjaro overlooking the herds of elephant strolling around the park as well as other abundant wildlife including 50 other species of wildlife including the lion, cheetah, herds of zebras wilder beast and their predators.
The park also has an observation hill which overlooks the whole landscape previously know as the poachers hill but the name was changed since poachers would climb the hill to spot the African big five as well as other wildlife in order to hunt for them. The park is now used a hiking observation peak when hiking by tourist to have an aerial 360 degrees view of the park.
The park is also endowed with over 400 birdlife species which also serves as a sight for birld and nature lovers. You will then have your packed lunch here at the hill while enjoying the beautiful scene.
After you have had your lunch in the afternoon proceed towards Taita Hills Sanctuary as you enter your hotel Saltlick lodge. After a short siesta, depart on an afternoon gamedrive, returning late afternoon. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure, viewing game from lodge’s underground hide or from the lodge balcony.
Overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge on a Full Board basis. Drive time approx: 3 hours Saltlick Lodge Salt Lick Lodge is located in the heart of a private Wildlife Sanctuary which lies adjacent to Tsavo National Park, therefore playing an increasingly important role in the protection and conservation of Kenya’s wildlife heritage. The entire lodge is raised on stilts, providing 24-hour game viewing opportunities from any corner of the lodge.
The rooms are built in two storey blocks from a central pod and linked together by elevated platforms – overlooking a salt slick and small waterhole. Each room is spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring exquisite ethnic décor in keeping with the Tsavo environment Rooms are spacious and have all the necessary modern conveniences.
The restaurant, bar and main balconies have views over the water hole and salt lick, which is constantly in use by local park residents. There is also an underground hide for closer encounters.
Day 7: Tsavo West
After early morning breakfast, You will head out for more game drives before you get to Tsavo West.As you approach Tsavo west you will pass by some remarkable sites that lie in between the two parks some of them being the mzima spiring which support a lot of marine life.Also, the yatta pleteu restsing above the golden grasslands, stands as a sentinel—a testament to time and resilience.
Its rocky outcrops echo with the footsteps of generations, and its panoramic views stretch beyond the horizon and many more. You will spend tour nght at Kilanguni Serena lodge. The hotel, nestled within the heart of Tsavo West National Park, beckons travelers with its harmonious blend of modern comforts and timeless natural beauty.

Day 8: Departure
Early breakfast is served today before your departure with a bonus game drive as you depart from the park. You will get to Nairobi drop off being at JKIA/ preferred drop off point. Alternatively, you can continue on with a beach extension for 3 days Mombasa/ Diani on request with your agent.
