7 Day Safari to the North
Summary.
While planning your safari to Kenya, you need to know that The Equator passes through Kenya, making Kenya as a safari destination so unique because you get to see animal species found on the south of the equator and those unique to the north of the equator. The Masai Mara is a famous safari destination, especially with the wildebeest migration season, Amboseli National Park is another great safari destination, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha are equally awesome places to visit but I dare say, your safari to Kenya is incomplete if you have not visited the northern Corridor.
While on the south you will be able to see almost all the big 5, the small 5, and the rest, on the Northern Corridor, That is Meru National Park, Samburu National Park, Shaba National Park, Buffalo Springs National Park, and coming down to Ol Pajeta Ranch, there are 5 unique species not found on the south. They are:
- The beautiful Reticulated Giraffe,
- The Beisa Oryx,
- The Gerenuk,
- The Somali Ostrich, and the
- Gravy Zebra.

In Shaba National Park there is Sarova Shaba only while in Samburu National Park you have several lodges including the Samburu Sopa Lodge; The Samburu Intrepids Lodge; Saruni Camp among others.
Sample Itinerary for the safari
Day 1: Arrival and City Tour
When you arrive at the Jommo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be received by our representative who will brief you on your itinerary and stay in Kenya and later be transferred to your hotel for check in and later take a city tour of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.
You will later enjoy a meal at a local restaurant before being transferred back to your hotel for the evening at leisure.

Day 2: Nairobi to Meru National Park
Today, your driver guide will be at the hotel by 7.30 so you can depart for your safari to Meru National Park. You are expected at the Elsa’s Kopje Lodge or similar in good time for lunch.
You will later depart for an afternoon game drive to show you the best of Meru National Park and be back to the lodge in good time for Dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 3: Meru National Park
It will be another day in the wild and immediately after breakfast you will board your tour vehicle for another day’s adventure. You will have lunch and Dinner at the lodge and the evening at leisure.

Day 4: Meru National Park to Samburu National Park
After your breakfast, you will embark on yet another safari to tour the Samburu National Park. You will stop at Sarova’s Shaba lodge for lunch, enjoy the scenery and later drive on to the neighbouring Samburu National Park for an evening game drive.
You are expected at your lodge in good time for check in, have dinner and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Samburu National Park
You have another full day in the wild enjoying game drives within the parks. You will also have a chance to visit the Samburu village to learn more about their culture and enjoy a dance with them.

Day 6: Samburu National Park to Ol Pajeta Ranch
You will enjoy your breakfast then depart from Samburu and drive down to Ol Pajeta Conservancy. You are expected in good time for lunch then depart for an afternoon game drive to enjoy what the conservancy has to offer including a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary.
Back to the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 7: Ol Pajet Ranch to Nairobi and departure.
It is the last day of our 7 days safari in Kenya. So after enjoying your breakfast, you have some time to watch the animals that grace and come around the lodge.
Later you will depart and be on your way to Nairobi where you are expected in good time to be transferred to the airport for your departure flight back home.
