3 Day Mt Kenya Trek Adventure.
Day 1:
Morning spent sorting and organizing personal equipment for the trek. Drive to Mt. Kenya National Park Gate and have a leisure walk to Met Station (3-4 Hthes; 9 kms), where we spend the night in the mountain log cabins at an altitude of 3,050m. The afternoon will be spent on a short hike in the area to assist in the acclimatization process
Day 2:
Hike up into the Teleki valley where there is a spectacular view of the main peaks. Walking time approximately 4-6 hthes. Overnight at Mackinder’s Camp (4,100m).
Day 3:
The final ascent begins with a pre-dawn start to ensure a successful summit bid and in time for a clear view of the majestic summit scenery at sunrise. After ascending to Pt. Lenana we return to the base camp for breakfast and then proceed down the mountain to Met Station where we will be met for a welcome drive back to the Lodge
Tthe includes:
- Transportation form Nairobi to Mt Kenya and back in a safari 4X4 land cruiser vehicle.
- Return transfers from the lodge to Mt Kenya
- Park fees
- Guides, potters & cooks
- Accommodation in cabins
- Full board meal plan
- Certificate upon successful; completion of the climb.
- Mineral drinking water during ythe safari climb.

- Climbing equipment.

What to carry/ climbing equipment:
Rack sack preferably 60 liters, day pack, sleeping bag, water bottle/ camel pack (drinking water on the trail), free jacket, T shirt for changing, long sleeved shirt, shorts, trousers(light), Polypropylene (long underwear), wool socks, cap, sunglasses, walking trip( optional), hiking boots, balaclava( to cover ythe head), wool gloves, head lamb/ torch & extra batteries, down jacket, rain jacket ( with a hood), sandals/ tennis shoes to change when at camp.
Extra clothes (personal clothes, shoes) will not be necessary when climbing and will be left at the camp while climbing.
Please note that climbing equipment mentioned above is mandatory for climbing and can be purchased at an extra cost of USD 90 per person per day. Climbers are advised to carry their own.
