Today, ask that Nanny you trust with your baby or babies come fully packed to stay for a night or a whole day.

You are going to drop the Mom Bra, wear something fancy, wear some makeup, call a cub, and just drive off. This is a special day for you as a mom and you can always spare some time to treat yourself.

In case your mom is not around, there is that special person who filled the gap. It can be an aunt, an elder sister, a teacher, a neighbor, or a dad who doubled up as both.

What are some of the fun activities you can do with your mom?

1. Mommy’s Day out

You can always take your mommy out for the day. Taking a walk in the neighborhood, visiting places, and just spending quality time together can always go a long way for a mom. Some mothers however would prefer going out alone. You can step in for her at her place of work and allow her to take a break.

2. Meals with mom

Breakfast at Java, Lunch at Amaica Restaurant, and Dinner at Blixen would definitely make my Mother’s Day awesome. I don’t know about your Mom. If you are out of Nairobi, you can always scout for nice joints and explore them with your mommy. You don’t have to be there, asking for a pay bill when she is done, works as well.

3. Air trip with mom

8. Gift extravaganza

Packing small boxes of surprise gifts and dropping them all over your home can make the day for your mommy. Drop earrings in the kitchen sink, perfume in the bathroom, a pair of sunglasses in the garden, car accessories in the hallway, and so on.  I hope my babies do this for me one day.

9. Mom’s Bucket List

My mom doesn’t have a bucket list but I can help her make one. If yours has one already, help her cross off the list, of the most adventurous and thrilling things. If zip lining is one of them, take her to a spot she will never forget.

10. Shopping

All mothers love shopping! Get her a voucher or take her to a place she can pick anything she loves. You will foot the cost. Be wise.

11. Mom’s day fun Day

You can always take her to a park and spend the whole day laughing, running around, playing games, swimming, and so on.
