DAY 1:

Pick up from Nairobi JKIA/ hotel/ residence to Mt Kenya where you will be received by the camp guard/ manager.

DAY 2

Morning spent sorting and organizing equipment for the mountain trek and be driven to Met Station. Hike up to the Teleki valley where you get to experience a spectacular view of the main peaks. Hiking up time will be approximately 4-6 hours with an overnight stay in our cabins at Mackinder’s Camp (4,100M). Packed lunch is provided enroute.

DAY 3

After Breakfast Hike up the Teleki Valley with a Spectacular view of the main peaks – batian and nelion. A full Day fishing experience at Lake Hohnel,the fifth largest of the lakes and tarns on mt,Kenya named after Lieut. Ludwig von Hohnel, who was the cartographer on teleki expedition to Mount Kenya. At 4,291m ASL and back to Mackinder’s Camp for overnight.

DAY 4

After breakfast descend down to Met Station for pick up.

Day 1:

Morning spent sorting and organizing personal equipment for the trek. Drive to Mt. Kenya National Park Gate and have a leisure walk to Met Station (3-4 Hthes; 9 kms), where we spend the night in the mountain log cabins at an altitude of 3,050m. The afternoon will be spent on a short hike in the area to assist in the acclimatization process

Day 2:

Hike up into the Teleki valley where there is a spectacular view of the main peaks. Walking time approximately 4-6 hthes. Overnight at Mackinder’s Camp (4,100m).

Day 3:

The final ascent begins with a pre-dawn start to ensure a successful summit bid and in time for a clear view of the majestic summit scenery at sunrise. After ascending to Pt. Lenana we return to the base camp for breakfast and then proceed down the mountain to Met Station where we will be met for a welcome drive back to the Lodge

Maasai Mara, is a large national game reserve in Narok, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Tsavo West & East:

It has a long, white, sandy beach that is ideal for relaxing, swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the view of the Indian Ocean. The water is shallow near the shore and has some sandbars that allow wading with a clear view of the bottom.It has a rich and diverse marine life that can be explored by snorkeling, diving, or taking a boat trip to the nearby coral reefs. Some of the species that can be seen include dolphins, turtles, rays, and colorful fish1It has a vibrant and lively nightlife that caters to different tastes and preferences. There are many bars, restaurants, clubs, and hotels that offer entertainment, music, food, and drinks.

The Detailed itinerary:

Here is your daily schedule on your 12 days, 10 nights for your bush & beach safari package.

Day 1: Pick Up from Nairobi JKIA

On your arrival, our company representative will be ready to pick you up at the arrival hall at arrival time TBO and transfer you to your hotel for your rest and relaxation till the next day. You will also have the luxury of going on a brief city tour before you are transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Pick Up from Nairobi/ Transfer to Maasai Mara

Our seasoned diver guide will pick you up from your hotel then begin your journey to Maasai Mara National Park Reserve, stopping by the great rift valley escarpment for bathroom breaks and photography. Arrive in time for lunch, check inn and relax. Your driver guide will come pick you up later in the afternoon for your game drives till 6:00pm in the evening. You will later on transfer to your hotel for your meals and rest.

Day 3&4: Maasai Mara full day

Mara is inexhaustible, spend the next two days in Mara exploring the enchanting animal kingdom. Your driver guide will take you through the wildlife terrains with ease and comfort while offering extensive knowledgeable information. You will go on a cultural visit in the Maasai village with an optional ride on a hot air balloon ride at an extra cost USD 450.

Day 5: Mara-Naivasha

On this day, you will exit Mara heading onwards to Naivasha for overnight before you arrive at Amboseli the next day. Drive on the floor of the rift valley while enjoying the view of the landscape of the great rift valley. Stop over at Lake Naivasha for a view of the spectacular pink covered flamingo lake then proceed to Naivasha. You will get there in time for lunch and check in before your transfer to Crescent Island, for your boat rides and walks in the sanctuary. You will later on be taken to your hotel for rest and meals.

Day 6: Naivasha to Amboseli:

On this day wake up and have your early morning breakfast as you get ready for your transfer you to your hotel in Amboseli. Rest and relax as you get ready to be picked up for your afternoon game drives till late evening.

Day 7: Full day Amboseli

On this day, spend the whole day cruising through the park, spotting the big 5, and other wildlife, flora and fauna of the park.

Day 8: Amboseli to Tsavo West:

This day, you will be transferred to Tsavo West, another wildlife haven. On the way, you will encounter some natural geological sites and attractions such as the shetani lava flow, mzima springs and many more as well as wild and birdlife. You will arrive to your hotel in tie for lunch and check in. Relax as you prepare to go on an afternoon game drive till late evening then back to your hotel for rest and meals.

Day 9: Tsavo West to Diani.

At around 0630hrs, after your breakfast at your hotel and check out, hop into our 4×4 safari cruiser for your transfer to Diani beach. This journey will take 5-6hrs until you arrive to Diani at your hotel. You will stop by for lunch at Voi town for lunch and bathroom breaks then proceed to Diani via Tsavo East route. Get to your hotel in Diani in the evening.  Enjoy the rest of the day at the beach sunbathing/ enjoying water sport activities.

 

Day 10 & 11: Leisure.

Feel free to swim your thighs sore or also rent a swing chair and umbrella at your convenience. Relax on this tropical white sandy beach with crystal clear pristine ocean water that offers a pictorial backdrop. You can indulge in various beach activities such as water sports, optional camel rides, sea shell collection, long walks and many more. The warm tropical weather complimented with a cool relaxing breeze will have you basking in the sun all day.

Day 12: Departure.

Unfortunately, we have come to the end of our safari. You will have enough time for enjoying the beach again in the morning after your breakfast before we start our departure after checkout to Nairobi at 1200hrs in our 4×4 land cruiser or your mode of choice. We hope you enjoyed your tour.

Early morning departure from Nairobi

 

We will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel/ residence at exactly 0800hrs where our professional safari guide will transfer you towards Lake Naivasha.

This is a remarkable ride as you enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift valley which will take approximately 3 hrs stopping over at the great rift valley escarpment view point for pictures and bathroom breaks.

 

Lake Nakuru National Park:

Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National park, we will venture deep into a 3 hr. game drive in the company of your professional guide who will give insightful information throughout the day. Lake Nakuru National Park, nestled in the southwestern part of Kenya, northwest of Nairobi, is a captivating gem within the Great Rift Valley.

Here are some fascinating details about this wildlife haven with a rich ecological diversity including wildlife species like the white rhinos, hippos, giraffes, lions, leopards and many more. This is also a bird watching haven endowed with over 400 different species of birds and a stunning pink flamingo covered lake that stretches over 188 km2 .

Lunch will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge or picnic depending on your preferred arrangement.

 

Hells Gate National Park:

 

At exactly 2:00 pm, you will arrive at hells gate national park. Hell’s Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya. Geothermal Activity. The park is named after the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries. It features towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes, and belching plumes of geothermal steam.

These natural wonders make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower: These impressive rock formations are part of the park’s unique scenery.  Hell’s Gate Gorge: Lined with red cliffs, this gorge contains the volcanic plugs of Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower.

While the park is relatively small by African standards (covering 68.25 square kilometers), it boasts a wide variety of wildlife. Some of the inhabitants including Lions, leopards, and cheetahs (though they are few in number).

Rare lammergeyer vultures. Over 103 species of birds, including vultures, eagles, buzzards, and swifts.  Other common animals like African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, hyena, and baboons.

Enjoy your excursion and bicycle rides in the park as you get to enjoy wildlife viewing till evening when you depart.

 

Return to Nairobi:

 

After your bicycle rides, rock climbing, nature walks and game drives in the park, we will now depart back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and arrive at around 6:00 pm sharp.

Detailed itinerary

 08:00 am-12:00 pm Nairobi National Park.

Our safari guide will pick you in 0800 hrs at your preferred pick up point/ hotel. You begin your trip towards Nairobi National Park for your leisurely game drives which will take approximately 3hrs exploring the park. 8:00am- 12:00 pm Karen Blixen & Giraffe Center.

After having lunch at your preferred restaurant, you will proceed with your Nairobi tour towards Giraffe center. Get a chance to have an up close and personal interaction with the tall beauties, feed / kiss while you can also take a quiet nature walk in the serene conservancy. The trip will last about two hours then you will depart to your next stop, Karen Blixen Museum.

Not so far away from Giraffe center, you will arrive at your final stop, Karen Blixen Museum, for a brief historical tour round the house museum with unique antique preserved house pieces from the 1800s while in the company of a museum guide. Get a glimpse of the Kenyan prehistoric history while you also get a chance to dive into the interesting tragic love story of the great Baroness Karen who settled in Kenya from Europe to start a business, met & lost the love of her life.

 

12:00 pm –  4:00 pm Mamba Village

After lunch, ascend our 4×4 land cruiser for a journey towards Mamba village. Get to view these pre historic reptiles as your guide will enlighten you about the crocodile behavior and life cycle. Feeding time for the crocodile is also very interesting as you get to watch the blood thirsty creatures fight for a meal. You can also go on a boat ride in the manmade lake, camel rides and horse rides and finally you can feed the few giraffes at the location.

Your trip ends at around 2:00 pm to 04:00pm and your driver is ready to drop you off at your hotel/ drop point.

Detailed itinerary

 08:00 am-10: 00 am: Karen Blixen Museum.

At around 0730hrs our driver guide will arrive at your desired pick up point 30 minutes before time. Ascend our safari minivan on to the suburbs of Karen where you will get to the house museum under the National museums of Kenya. The house now historical monument used to belong to a royal Danish immigrant Karen Blixen who came to Kenya to do coffee business, interacted and settled in with the indigenous Kenyan people fell in love and lost the love of her life here in Kenya. You will be welcomed by one of the site guides who will give you a brief history about Karen’s biography and her tragic love story which also has a twist on the pre-colonial history of Kenya.

You will then go for a house tour where Karen’s preserved antique house pieces from the 1800 were preserved. If your feeling adventurous, go on a short nature walk into the museums nature trail which used to be Karen’s forested farm. You will find a vast amount of birdlife and small mammals there like dikdiks and tree hyrax.

After your trip your driver will assemble you back to the safari van for your next stop.

10:00 pm- 12:00 pm Kazuri beads .

At around 1030 hrs. not so far away from the museum, your next stop will be at Kazuri beads. The colourful and vibrant pottery company makes the most beautiful beads. You will be led through the stages to start and finish. The company has employed single mothers from poor neighborhood who use their beading and pottery craft to earn a living. Find all types of  pottery , ceramics and beads as souvenirs for you to carry while you support the local business women.

At around 1200 hrs , your driver guide will take you to carnivore or the restaurant of your choice for lunch.

2:00 pm- 4:00 pm Giraffe center

Your next stop is the giaffe center, the park is a rehabilitation centered for endangered giraffes which has a variety of abandoned and orphaned giraffe species. You will be welcomed by a site guide who will take you round the center. The giraffes are very friendly and interactive you will get a chance to to feed them, or maybe even kiss them.

You can on a soothing nature walk around the trail before departing.

Your trip ends at around 3:00 pm to 04:00pm and your driver is ready to drop you off at your hotel/ drop point.

At 0730 hrs, our driver guide will meet you at your preferred pick up point 30 minutes before time and drive onwards toward Langata road where we will spend the half day with the rehabilitated graceful beasts of the wild here in the city. On our first stop, we will go through the giraffe center a serene rehabilitation center for endangered giraffes.  The animals here are very social and interactive you will first of all have a brief lecture on the importance of wildlife conservation and the rehabilitation center.  After that, you will move on to the raised platform where you will spend time and interact with these tall friends while you feed them or even kiss them! All this time you will be in the company of a guide who will take you through the park. You can also enjoy a quiet, nature walk in the parks nature trail.

 

11:00 am- 12:00 pm David Sheldrick elephant sanctuary

After having lunch at your preferred restaurant, you will proceed to our next stop, Davis and Sheldrick animal sanctuary towards Langata road. Get a chance to have an up close and personal with the gentle giants, a brief lecture about the rescue center for the abandoned and orphaned elephants, you can also take a quiet nature walk in the serene conservancy. The trip will last about two hours then you will depart to your next stop, Karen Blixen Museum.

10:00 am–  12:00 pm David Sheldrick elephant sanctuary

After lunch, ascend our safari minivan for a trip towards David Sheldrick elephant sanctuary. The center is a rehabilitation area for injured orphaned and abandoned elephants at the parks / reserves. Witness the milk feeding time of these gentle giants, playing in the dust or even a mud bath. The keepers do all of this in order to monitor the elephants, but you will get a chance to interact and take pictures with the elephants.

At exactly 1200hrs your driver guide will assemble you to your minivan as you proceed for lunch at carnivore or your preferred restaurant.
